Notes
This one of a few specimen Sugar Maple trees in the cemetery. This one - tagged 2147 - is located in the Memorial Gardens at the east end of the cemetery, south of Limes Avenue.
It is a North American species, ranging from E. Canada to Texas and was introduced into Britain in 1735. It is well-known as the source of maple syrup. |
