Although I had noticed specimens of this plant as being different from the other Ragworts that are found in the Wanstead area - namely Oxford and Common Ragworts - I had not positively identified the species until this one was photographed on 28th September 2009.

This is a species that has been rapidly advancing north through Europe and was predicted to become more common in Britain. It is now very common in the London area, and very much so locally.
