A single tree known at the bottom of Warren Wood by the Ornamental Waters, not far north of the Glade. There is a suggestion that this ornamental tree may have been planted at the special request of a member of the public as a memorial to a past superintendent of the Forest. Although the request was granted, it was with the provision that it should only be a native tree. This is not the case - as Manna Ash is not native to Britain but is from southern Europe. |
