A single plant growing in grass right by the side of the track that leads down from the Plain to the Ornamental Water.

This is the only known specimen of Flax in Wanstead Park, although some were found on Wanstead Flats some years ago when a football pitch in the Brickfields area was allowed to grow into long grass.

In both cases, the species was not determined.
