This single patch of Cowslip was found on 8 May 2007 near the junction of the Canal opposite the Grotto. It was still present in 2009.

As no Cowslip has been recorded from Wanstead Park before, it is assumed that it arrived with soil imported during the reconstruction of the banks of the lake hereabouts, as were many of the plants recorded by the southern arm of the lake in recent years.
