Planted as specimen trees along Limes Avenue. The family - Hamamelidaceae - to which Liquidambar belongs is not included in Stace, so I have interpreted the page number as 313, i.e. between Crassulaceae and Saxifragaceae. These trees originate from the S.E. of the United States.

Increasingly found as amenity town trees, the National Collection of Liquidamber is at West Ham Park.
