Notes
This tree, north of Central Avenue, is in cemetery records as Tilia platyphyllos. I was told of this tree by one of the cemetery staff many years ago, and he told me that it was toxic to bees. Certainly in mid-late July - after Common Limes have mostly finished flowering - this tree is covered with flowers and is very strong smelling.
The lower bole is noticeably larger in diameter to upper parts, and it looks as though those have been grafted on.
