This is the third specimen of this species to have been sighted locally, and the first seen by me. It was on a willow stem by the west end of Heronry Pond.

On a subsequent visit - on 17th September - together with Kathy H., we counted 10 or so coupled pairs and a number of individuals all in approximately the same location i.e. the west end of Hernry Pond. All were on willow, and mostly on the side facing south and nearer the water, and there were signs of galling caused by egg-laying on some willow twigs.
