This leafhopper was spotted in a sycamore by the playing fields building on Wanstead Flats by Capel Road.

Rose Stephens sent a photograph to Tristam Bantock who identified it as Acericerus heydenii, which is associated with sycamore Acer pseudoplatanus.

It has been found since 2010 at a number of sites in the south of England, having apparently arrived from the continent.
