As its English name implies, this species is found in a wide variety of habitats and in spring it visits a variety of flowering shrubs.(Falk, 2015).

This one was spotted by Rose Stephens on the bank leading down to Perch Pond, Wanstead Park, adjacent to Heronry Pond.
