Notes
This species has been considered rare, but seems to be increasing in south-east England, particularly along the Thames Gateway. (Falk, 2015) That perhaps explains why we should find it here, on Wanstead Flats. (
Its association with composites such as ragworts and cat's-ears - which are certainly present on the Flats - is perhaps another reason.
