Grey-patched Mining Bee ?       Andrena (nitida)

Andrenidae Notes
This bee was digging in the sandy soil by Alexandra Lake, Wanstead Flats.

I believe it is Andrena nitida, as it appears to have patches of hairs on the abdominal segments, and possibly on the underside. However, in none of the images of this species I have seen, nor in text, does it mention it being attracted to sandy soils such as this, but more usually grassland.
