The specimen was found by Rose Stephens in Manor Park cemetery, near a Poplar tree.

An expert on aphids (Bob) whom she contacted identified it as a Pterocomma species, and probably populeum. Bob said to look on any lower regrowth of the tree for populations in early summer.
