Notes
Rose Stephens found this striking-looking aphid in Manor Park Cemetery in the area between Burgess Road and the railway. She posted the photo for identification from usual sources, with no effect. Then she came across a site called "influentialpoints.com" and got an interested response including an identification.
The species is associated with willow - though no willow is known near where it was found. The red colouration is adopted during winter as a deterrent whilst there is little vegetative cover.
