Usually, but infrequently, seen by Alexandra Lake; in the past they were usually observed on the banks of one of the two islands, but these are now mostly overgrown. This means that because of disturbance, Sandpipers are mostly to be observed in the early hours of the morning before the joggers and dog-walkers are about.
