The Green Man underpass and roundabout

On the following pages are some photographs of plants that occur around the Green Man roundabout system in Leytonstone.

Many of the plants that are to be found in the pedestrian and cycle underpass of the roundabout were doubtless introduced when the system was built, and provide a colourful accompaniment to what could be an unpleasant experience at such a busy road interchange. Other plants are casual that have found their way here, existing even in the cracks of the pavements and brickwork that are in the immediate vicinity
