Pharaoh Ant?      Monomorius pharaonis ?

Notes
This tiny ant - about 2mm in length - was seen and photographed in Roger Snook's home in Woodcote Road, Wanstead. It was posted on iSpot for identification as a possible Pharaoh Ant, and this was confirmed. However, the ant seems to have spines at the rear of its thorax, which Pharaoh Ants do not. Is it then a Red Ant, Myrmica rufa?
